Seeing Stars

Stars are big news at the moment and accessories are a great way to update any outfit.

These Primark bargains are dazzling! The stunning earrings will add glamour to your look and the starburst tights will bring a plain dress bang up to date. The tights and the sparkling drop earrings both cost £2.50. Yes, you read that right!

This star ring is my favourite and at £2.50 it's a bargain fashionable piece. I plan to get a lot of wear out of it and think it will be perfect for the party season.

Wild Thing

If you're into printed T-shirts, Orange Circle is the place to go! Check out www.orangecircle.spreadshirt.co.uk

My favourite is this leopard print bow design below.

It would look fab with leggings or jeans or even tucked into a faux leather skirt or shorts.
Each T-shirt cost just £12.99 and they also sell cute mugs and tote bags which would make the ideal gift.

My inner rock chick loves this skull motif version below.

Why not combine the two and go for a skull wearing a fashionable bow?

Check out the website for many more fab designs!

London Fashion Week 2011 SS12 Preview

I've chosen not to post pictures as I don't want to get done for copyright! Whilst we're on the subject, if you know where I can get pictures of designer's collections that I can use in my blog pleeaase let me know.

London Fashion Week is always incredibly exciting. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky enough to bag a ticket but I have studied some of the collections and here are my highlights...

Christopher Kane featured futuristic dresses with origami style fabric folds, a sleeveless cricket jumper with very large armholes over a floral skirt, lots of floral pieces and pretty embellishment which is perfect for summer evenings.

Meadham Kirchoff are known for their out there style and their latest collection didn't disappoint. Satin nighty-esque dresses, bright colours, cartoon motifs and prints, smiley faces, heart pockets and fluffy, furry jackets and dresses in pastel colours all featured. The looks were girly and childlike but fun and lighthearted which I find refreshing.

Julien MacDonald had monocrome and yellow aswell as bright blue as big themes in his collection. I love the black and white tailored jacket.

Mulberry went for a mostly lemon and nude colour palette aswell as khaki with cropped parkas making an appearance. I like the lemon raincoat with the nude maxiskirt. There were also black pieces which is unusual for summer. They included classic LBDs and a black raincoat which is perhaps more practical than the lemon one. I also liked the shimmery and sequin pieces in gold and silver.

I can't wait to see how the high street inteprets these looks early next year!

All that Glitters

I adore this sparkling tiger head ring, £6.65 from Forever 21. Their jewellery department is like an Aladin's cave and is full of bargains. Animal motifs are big news this season.

For something similar, this spider ring, £15 from bagsofsparkle.com is a great buy.

The LOOK magazine trend talk and the wonder of Westfield

This afternoon I attended a trend talk by Look magazine's Hannah Hughes at the Look lounge in Stratford Westfield City. Sadly, the lounge will no longer be there after today but here's hoping that the lovely people at Look decide to come back to my local shopping mecca one day.

The trend talk was very interesting and it outlined this seasons key trends and pieces. Items I loved included an emerald green pencil skirt, a silver metallic top, a sheer polkadot dress and a mustard longline blazer coat. Hannah explained how the 40's and 60's are massive trends and identified some of the key pieces such as fur stoles and 60's miniskirts. I now have more items to add to my ever increasing wishlist and I also met Jen and Michaela, two lovely ladies who share my love of fashion. Check out Jen's fabulous blog at www.jjnoir.blogspot.com

As for Westfield Stratford City I'm in love with the place and can't believe that it's practically on my doorstep. The Primark is amazing and so big that I got lost for a few minutes! There are shops to suit every budget and I'm looking forward to when H&M opens on September 30th. Also, I don't care if I'm 24, I love Forever 21! There are so many on trend bargains to be had and its jewellery department sells brilliant trinkets at fantastic prices. I will post pictures of my new jewellery later this week so keep your eyes peeled.

My Latest Looks

It was my boyfriend's 30th Birthday party this weekend and as it was held in his garden, I had to find an outfit that was fashionable but also comfortable and wouldn't leave me shivering all night. After much searching I found this brilliant Peter Pan collar dress in River Island for £45. As the evening went on and the chill set in I threw on my trusty colbalt blue chunky knit cardigan

For his actual birthday I went for this monocrome ensemble above. My blouse was a missguided bargain which cost around £25 and the jeans are Topshop Leigh black skinny jeans, £40. My brogues were a bargain £8 from Primark and they are soooo comfortable. My new favourite flats, I think.

On Wednesday evening I went to the new Westfield Stratford City (I'm in love with the place but more of that later) and opted for a DIY Peter Pan collar dress by layering a blouse underneath a dress both from New Look, which I bought back in the summer.

Dear Readers...

Thank you very much to those of you who have posted comments on my blog. I have tried to reply to them but unfortunately, there is a techincal issue which isn't allowing me to do so.
When I try to leave a comment under my Google account it says that my account does not have access to view this page.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
I have sent feedback to Google explaining this so hopefully things will be sorted out soon.

A bit about me

Although I look young, I'm actually approaching 25. I have one of those baby faces that causes every bouncer and bartender to ask to see my I.D. Annoying.

Growing up, I wanted to be a fashion designer but I was never that good at drawing and I failed my art GCSE so I decided to take a different path. The passion still remains but now I love to write about fashion, from my recent bargain buys to the items I am lusting after. I also enjoy discussing the style or lack of it, of those in the public eye as well as new brands or good offers I have found.

I am drawn to anything that sparkles and I am a real girly girl. I'm a homebird but I do love a holiday in the sun. Don't we all? I enjoy getting glammed up and going out with the girls. I'm partial to fake tan and false eyelashes but I'm not keen on the Snog, Marry, Avoid look.
I am the reality TV queen and spend hours watching trashy programmes. Favourites include The Only way is Essex, Made in Chelsea, Big Brother, The X Factor, Jerseylicious, Jersey and Geordie shore, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and Snog, Marry, Avoid. I'm a sucker for a makeover show. My favourite music is usually in the charts and favourites include Rihanna, Example, Olly Murs, The Saturdays, Pixie Lott and David Guetta but I also love old Michael Jackson tunes.

It's my dream to be a magazine journalist so I plan to do some temping work to get some money behind me until Christmas and then start work experience on magazines again.
You're never too old to follow your dream!

Biba Fever

I absolutely love the Biba collection at House of Fraser but sadly, my budget won't stretch to afford most of the pieces. This cape, £65, however is a good price for how versatile it will be this autumn and winter

The monocrome colourway and pearl collar are very on trend and it can be thrown over an LBD or skinny jeans and top to bring them bang up to date

I also love this clutch bag for the gorgeous berry colour, gold hardware and how luxe it looks. At £145 it's one to save for or put on the Christmas list but it should see you through the whole season and beyond

Autumnal Accessories

As the leaves fall from the trees and the jumpers and boots go on, your wardrobe can start to feel a bit dull. Why not jazz up a plain top with a fall-themed necklace like this Topshop one below?

I've had this necklace for a couple of years, but try Accessorize or Topshop for similar styles
