I started blogging towards the end of 2010 after my nan encouraged me to try it. I wish I had done it sooner but it was finding the time and I felt like my writing wasn't good enough. Nowadays the internet is saturated with fashion and beauty bloggers so standing out and creating something different is becoming increasingly difficult.
Since I left school it has been my dream to work on a consumer magazine as a fashion writer but recent events have forced me to put that dream on hold, possibly forever. I'm 25 now and don't have much experience on magazines. When I was at uni I was too naive and lacking in confidence to put myself out there and look for placements. I'm still not the most confident, outgoing person even now and I get shy in front of new people or people I don't know that well so I have to be realistic. Employers are going to choose a confident 20 year old with lots of relevant experience, rather than a shy 25 year old who has only worked for 2 different publishers
Therefore, I currently work in insurance which is where I have the most experience. I'm not living my dreams but I'm not exactly unhappy in my job and it allows me to shop for some of the latest trends come payday so who am I to complain? I also still blog when I can because it is what I love to do.
Are any other bloggers out there in a similar situation? Do you think age and confidence are important in this industry? I would love to read your comments

Wet at Wireless
I endured rain, mud, crowds and hailstones yesterday all to be at one of the most fashionable events of the year and to see two of my favourite artists, Rihanna and Jessie J. My cold is now worse and my voice is showing no signs of coming back but it was worth it! Pitbull who was joined by Ne-yo (great surprise!) and Labrinth were also highlights
I love how at festivals you can wear what you wouldn't normally get away with on the street. My multi coloured dip dyed shorts from motel are a good example of this and I felt like I had gone back to the carefree days of the 90s when I slipped them on

My peace top is from Rev UK, (£6) the parka is from Topshop (£48) and my tights are from Next. Did anyone else go to Wireless this weekend? What did you think and more importantly, what did you wear?

Dot(ted) Cotton
I love this dress and just had to share it with you. I bought it in an AX Paris sale last year and it's so comfortable
I feel like my pics are getting worse and worse so I do apologise. Also sorry about the glamorous ironing board in shot. I don't use photoshop or anything as I want my photos to be as real as possible and you can't get much more down to earth than a hallway that needs painting with an ironing board in it! There are no airs and graces with me!

Game, set and match
I went to Wimbledon on Thursday and had a nice day out despite badly suffering with my hayfever. As it was a warm day I wore my floaty scarf print dress from River Island
This isn't the best picture but I think my camera may be on the way out as the quality of my pictures seems to be getting worse! Can anyone recommend any good cameras that are small enough to carry around in a clutch bag?

Short Story
I visited my grandparents in Westgate on sea, Kent this weekend so I went for a casual look
My shorts were £15 from H&M, My vest is from Warehouse and my sandals were around £15 from boohoo.com.
For some reason my pictures keep coming out a bit pixelated so I can't make them too large. I'm not sure if my camera is losing the will to live as this never used to happen before

I aint going out like no punk b*tch
I finally had a night out last night for the first time in what felt like ages. So glad I'm booked up for the next couple of weekends as it means I get to wear nice outfits rather than PJs on a Friday night!
I teamed my New Look neon jeans with a gorgeous peplum top from Primark which looks much more expensive than £8
