Silver Lining

River Island's silver mini skirt is definitely a staple in my wardrobe this season as I've already worn it twice. At only £30 it's great value and perfect for parties and nights out. Last night I went out in the city for my friend's birthday and wore it with a pastel pink top which I bought from Topshop last year. My trusty boohoo chunky sandals complete the outfit

Holiday Looks

Today I arrived home from a nice relaxing 8 day break in Spain where I visited my Grandparents and just chilled out. The warmer weather allowed me to get one last wear out of my favourite summer outfits until next year. Here are my holiday looks...

The sports luxe look is perfect for holidays as it's comfortable and relaxed. I love these orange shorts from Topshop which I teamed with a New Look T-shirt from last summer

This neon coral peplum hem dress is from Topshop and is a great shade for holidays. It's a shame I didn't get much of a tan as it would really make this colour pop

I waited all Summer to wear this floral two piece from Boohoo as I never thought that it looked right and I was carrying too much weight around my stomach to feel confident but now that I'm happy with my figure I decided to brave it and it was actually really comfortable, even a after a huge meal followed by pudding!

Don't forget your Khakis

Khaki is one of my favourite colours so I definitely plan to wear it often this season. I also love 50s shapes and this midi skirt is super flattering. Both the skirt and top are from a local market but I know that the top is by Topshop (try Ebay for similar styles)

I wore this outfit for a meal at Sticky Fingers in Kensington with my boyfriend where I had ribs and chips followed by apple pie with cinnamon ice cream, which is amazing and reminds me of Christmas!

Cloudy with a chance of Baby Showers

One of my closest and oldest friends, Claire is having a baby next month and yesterday we celebrated by having a baby shower at her Mum's house. The house and garden were decorated beautifully with banners, balloons and yummy cakes.

My friend Jessica made the amazing cake pops above which went down very well with everyone. (I ate 3 myself) We spent the day chatting, playing games and watching Claire opening her many presents (He's gonna be one lucky baby when he's born!)

Deciding what to wear was problematic as the weather has been neither one thing or another but in the end I went for head to toe New Look. The top was £17.99 and the skirt and loafers were from last year but there are loads of similar styles currently in store.

I Put Some New Shoes On...

Even though it's been many years since I left school, I love the new school vibe of September and often buy a couple of new pairs of shoes for the change of season. I'm the queen of flats nowadays and you'll rarely see me in heels unless they're pretty chunky and easy to walk in so I love a smart flat for work, such as a loafer or brogue. After payday recently I visited Linzis and couldn't decide between tasselled loafers and textured brogues so I treated myself to both! I can honestly say that they are very stylish, comfortable and great value for money. At £25 per pair you can't go wrong!
