Going Out Out

It's been a while since I've had a proper night out where I actually stay out until gone 12, get a bit merry then suffer the consequences the next day but last night featured all of the above! I went to McQueen in
Shoreditch with my friend Rachel for an event called Shake it Down which I've been going to every so often for the past 6 years. The DJs are always brilliant and it's a great night out so I let my hair down and enjoyed fruity cocktails and Pimms.

I did plan to wear a co-ord but the stretchy pencil skirt made my hips and stomach look huge and definitely drew attention to my spare tyre so in the end I went for a bright coral dress from Topshop with Clarks block heel sandals

The City is my Oyster

Oyster pink is one of those colours that is great for work on a bright and warm summers day and it's not a colour that you see as often as black or grey so I love to wear anything in this shade at this time of year. I spotted this structured T top in the Topshop sale last weekend for £25 so for work yesterday I paired it with my Dorothy Perkins pleated midi skirt for a tone on tone look.

Those Summer Nights

Isn't it great when it's warm enough to go out in the evening and not have to wear tights or trousers? I made the most of the balmy weather last night and got my legs out in a baby blue dress from missguided. I love how the sheer panels offer a sneak peak of flesh without being indecent and you can't go wrong with a classic shift dress

The blazer was from Matalan last summer and my sandals are from Clarks. I went for a meal with my boyfriend and his parents over Canary Wharf. Have you all been enjoying the sunshine too?

If Snow White worked in an Office...

Working in a corporate environment, often the only way I can show my personality is through what I wear. There's only so much I can get away with but pairing a sleeveless shirt with a floaty skirt works as there's still a smart and polished element to the look. I didn't intend to dress like Snow White when I chose this outfit on a hot day last week but it is very similar to what she wears, especially the yellow skirt. I might try fairytale dressing more often!

Arbonne Make Up Review

I'm always keen to try new products, especially those that are pure and safe for your skin so when a friend asked me to try some make-up by health and beauty brand Arbonne I jumped at the chance! I chose the Primer, concealer and bronzing powder as they are beauty essentials for me

I was really impressed with all of the products and you can tell that they're high quality. I also have quite sensitive skin but they didn't irritate it at all. The bronzer looks quite dark but it suited my fair skin and is great if you like a bit of shimmer. The primer feels so smooth on the skin and it doesn't break up like some other primers that I've tried. I loved the concealer so I ordered some and will stock up on other products come payday

Let's get Waisted

High waisted pieces are a firm favourite as mine and they skim my problem area, being my stomach and show off my waist which is one of the smallest parts of my body. This summer I've gone a bit mad purchasing high waisted skirts and this lilac number from boohoo.com is one of my favourites.
The fabric is very much like neoprene so the pleats stay perfect and there's no need to iron it which is always a bonus

Top: H&M, Jacket: Boohoo, (both past seasons) Jellies: New Look

Are there any other high waisted clothing devotees out there?

Don't just sit there...

Any product that helps firm my wobbly bits without me putting in any hard work is always welcome so I was excited to try Soap and Glory's new Sit Tight Super Intense 4-D. I've only been using it for less than a week but my skin already feels smoother so I'm hoping if I use it everyday for the next month that I'll be bikini ready by the time I head to Ibiza in July!

Application is also a pleasure which helps as the massage roller feels nice and cool on my skin and a slight tingle lets you know that the product is working. I will keep you updated on the firming and smoothing progress once my holiday approaches but I'm definitely impressed with the results so far

Kimono Queen

I first flirted with Kimonos last summer when I donned a subtle floral, fringed version for Wireless festival but this summer it's turned into a full blown love affair. I have four but keep seeing others that I want to buy. I just can't get enough of them! I love how you can update any outfit and how versatile they are. They can be thrown over a dress, top, playsuit or even a bikini. New Look has a great selection at the moment, all at reasonable prices so if you fancy a touch of the orient, pop to your nearest store and have a look

This cropped kimono was a bargain £12.99 from New Look and will also see me through to warmer autumn days as the floral print has a dark background

This neon floral number was £19.99 also from New Look and it would be perfect to brighten up a plain black outfit.

I got this bright floral kimono from asos in the sale last year and it's my favourite as I just love the vibrant colours. I have lots of ideas on how to style this for hot days and on holiday so expect a few more posts featuring this piece!

Here I am last summer in my fringed kimono which I tracked down on Ebay because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted elsewhere. This year however, we're spoilt for choice
