Summer Lovin

As the weather has still been nice I've been trying to get wear out of my summer clothes. Today I met my friends for lunch and wore my new Primark palm print playsuit (£5) with my Topshop gillet from last year. My sunglasses are a few years old from Primark and my sandals are from Next. Again, I've had them for a while.

I also bought a Stetson hat on my trip to Primark that will be fab for holidays or sunbathing in the garden. Not sure if I'll brave the tube or beer garden in it though!

Dress: AX Paris past season. Bracelet: Dorothy Perkins (years old!)

Totally Tropical

I love all the bright, exotic prints around at the moment and as the sun has been shining it's the perfect excuse to wear them. I bought this printed sleeveless shirt from a local market for £12 & teamed it with my trusty New Look denim shorts (a summer staple) This photo was taken on Saturday and I love how blue the sky looks

Pep me up

As my regular readers know, I am very partial to a peplum. This on trend beauty was a bargain £5 from a local market and I wore it with last year's skinny white zara jeans and Primark neon wedges (£12) for drinks in the sun

The Sun is Out to Play

How nice has the weather been this week? I'm almost in shock as we haven't had decent weather for so long. I've mostly been sitting in the garden in very casual outfits that need ironing but I made an effort yesterday afternoon with my asos playsuit and Topshop sleeveless denim jacket. I bought the playsuit in the sale 2 years ago and I'm sure it cost under a tenner. Now is the time to look out for high street summer sales both instore and online to see if you can nab any bargains.

I also gave my vintage Ray Ban aviators an outing. My granddad gave them to me and he bought them in the 80's. I love them!

What a difference a tan makes

I was feeling very pasty so decided to have my first spray tan done at Dove Spa using St Tropez. I was worried about walking out looking like David Dickinson but I was very pleased with the results. I showed off the tan last night at Faces for my friend Louise's birthday. I decided to wear a floral print peplum dress from River Island (£45) with my gold New Look wedges

I've also gone darker with my hair which I'm pleased with but still getting used to!

The Clash

Last week I found a bargain pair of neon jeans in New Look that were in the sale for £10. I had my eye on them for a while but was unsure about the £22 price tag so as soon as they went down in the sale I grabbed the nearest size 8 and made a run for the tills. I love pieces that stand out and these jeans certainly do. I clashed them with my blue missguided top because although these colours wouldn't normally be put together I think they go quite well. My classic white converse completed the look

Lemon Sorbet

As you may have noticed, I am obsessed with H&Ms pastel jeans and now have four pairs! My most recent edition is this lemon yellow pair below. For lunch with a good friend I wore it with my denim shirt also from H&M and my new studded slipper shoes from New Look (£18) The jeans are very comfortable but I should have took plasters out with me as my new shoes have given me blisters.

Last night whilst watching Britain's got Talent I decided to try some nail art. As it was my first attempt since I was about 15 it doesn't look that great but I just need to practice

Please ignore the nail varnish over spill on my fingers. That has washed off since!
